Hi, I’m Hannah
I am a Lebanese-American, full time actress and typewriter poet based in New York. I have stared in feature films, written thousands of poems for strangers, and co-host a comedy/poetry podcast called Poking Around. With a degree in creative writing and theater arts, I am uniquely talented in connection and story telling. Although perhaps best known for busking in central park with my typewriter, my greatest love has always been performance.
I want to create work that connects with others and inspires them to create themselves.
poetry
I make my living writing poems in the park. A dream sentence I never thought possible, but it’s true! For four years years now I’ve brought my typewriter to different spots throughout the city with a sign reading ask me for a poem. I’ve heard amazing stories, met thousands of strangers, and connected with the city in ways I could have never imagined.
Now, you can find me writing poems at Bethesda Fountain in Central Park, online, and at events around the world.
acting
I first began performing as a young girl and never stopped. I have been in countless theater productions and appeared in multiple short films and features. Most notably, I stared in acclaimed indie film maker Joel Haver's feature film, Hiccups. I've earned in a degree in theater arts and study at New York City's Barrow Group at the professional level.
I am currently working on a series of original short films that I wrote, shot, directed, and edited myself.
I am represented by Richard Brian at LS Talent agency.
